Your ICP is not your buyer
Your ICP is not your buyer. “CMO in a Series B SaaS Company” is not an ICP.
It is a LinkedIn filter.
A filter tells you who might answer.
It does not tell you what they are measured on. It does not tell you what burned them last time. It does not tell you who can block the deal.
It does not tell you which words make you sound like you know the room. Most teams still build outbound from that level of detail.
Job title. Company size. Industry.
Region. Headcount.
Then they ask for a demo.
High-commitment ask. Low-context message. Weak reason to care.
And when teams do use a lead magnet, it is usually generic.
A broad guide. A recycled checklist. A template that could have been written for anyone.
By the time the email lands, the buyer can tell it was not built for them. The email is not the only problem.
The chain is broken before the email gets written.
Weak buyer intel creates weak messaging. Weak messaging creates weak offers. Weak offers create weak outbound.
That is why I built Buyer Intel Accelerator.
It starts with a deeply researched buyer, not a filter. In the demo video, I use a B2B SaaS CMO buyer intel.
BIA maps what that buyer is measured on, what they are worried about, what has burned them before, who may block the deal, and what they need to hear before they care.
Then it turns that buyer intel into a messaging playbook your team can use. Then it builds a lead magnet from the same buyer context.
Not a generic asset with a job title pasted on top.
A specific offer built from the buyer, your product, and the problem they are already under pressure to solve.
Then BIA writes the email sequence around that offer. So the email is not asking for a demo before the buyer cares.
It gives them something useful first.
Cold email works better when the offer inside the email is worth caring about.
In the demo video below, I show how one B2B SaaS CMO persona becomes a messaging playbook, lead magnet, and email sequence in under five minutes.
You can simulate calls, build slides even build targeted compete infographics.
